Why would you hate Maribelle?

Okay, time for another stamp. AND BY GOLLY IT'S ANOTHER FANDOM STAMP. Who would have thought?

During my time in the Fire Emblem fandom, there sure is a lot of hate towards some characters. Some people hate Sumia, I've seen some people hate female Robin, but I've seen more people hate Maribelle more universally than any other female character.

First of all, I find this hate to be very petty, but you know how it is with big fandoms and sassy female characters. They'll misinterpret one little thing and then everyone is just "Oh her I h8 her she's a huge BEETCH!!1!"

So, allow me now to completely DESTROY everything you thought about Maribelle. Because she's honestly one of the most well-written characters in the game! 

 Maribelle is kind. 

Maribelle's probably one of the nicest characters in the game. She offers to help Olivia get over her shyness, she offers to teach Donnel things from law to dance and everything in between, she often shares tea with other characters ((Chrom and Ricken)) for example. She even helps Libra fend of people who were harassing him! She's a sweetheart guys! Lighten up!

 Maribelle is a social justice warrior. 

AND NO she's not the fucked up kind like most of the ones you'll find on tumblr. She's really into fixing Ylisse's laws and wanting to make punishments and court fair for everyone, commoner and noble alike. Most of her endings show her becoming a magistrate. And if she marries Chrom she uses her queen powers to make her dream a reality. Talk about bad ass.

 Maribelle was ostracized.  

In her supports with Lissa and Chrom, you learn one of the reasons as to why you guys thinks she's a huge bitch. She felt uncomfortable in the upper class setting, and Lissa was the only one who reached out to her and became her friend. She also wanted to talk with Chrom but she was too embarrassed to do so.

 Maribelle is patriotic. 

Maribelle is incredibly loyal to her country. In fact the reason she got captured is she was going to defend the village Gangrel's men invaded all by herself. Yeah, it was an incredibly stupid thing to do, but she knew she had to do something to protect the land and people she cares about.

 Maribelle is concerned about her disposition. 

In her support with Vaike, she tells him she's worried that she might be stuck up, so obviously her self-confidence isn't all that spectacular. It's probably why she bosses people around too, to hide her insecurities about herself.

 Maribelle is incredibly emotional. 

I mean look at Brady's paralouge! She was so happy to meet and save her son from the future that she cried. She's not a bitch guys! She's a huge dork!

 Maribelle is silly. 

She accidentally uses a guy's pick up line book to teach Olivia how to be less shy and talks to flowers and plants in her support with Henry. She's a damn nerd you guys.
